Between a Celine & a Bottega
Now, I’ve been on the lookout for a clutch since mid last year but never got round to really shortlisting & asking for prices of any until the last 2 months because of my impending dinner dates come end May / early June.
Plus I never really fancied any in between given that despite having a formal dresscode to adhere to, I do want to pack in a lipstick, keys, iphone, my summer edition Bottega wallet if its even possible and perhaps a camera?
I know, a bit too much to ask. But one can have ideals no?
Anyway, the husband sensed my impatience in looking for one ever since I complained about how I should have snagged myself one during my recent trip to Bangkok with my girlfriends (it all started because one of them started to WhatApp me on much she regretted not getting the clutch we were eyeing on!) some 2 months ago so over the past weekends, we’ve been in & out of Prada (nothing), LV (sadly, nothing), Gucci (disappointing for a few weeks now), Loewe (only love the amazona range), Mulberry (already got a Alexa oversized so a clutch will be overdoing it no?), Dior (I fancy the Lady Dior but husband thinks I should still stick to getting a clutch).
Celine did get my hopes up high for a while especially since I’m a sucker for Phoebe Philo’s bag designs, but sadly the colour I wanted was out of stock…

Until last Saturday the husband mentioned that we had missed out Bottega Veneta (eyes lid up), although we personally know a few people who own the classy woven satin clutch too…
Unfortunately, we didn’t get the time to check it out at the boutique though due to packed schedules rushing from south to east to west then back to north of Singapore for the rest of the day.
So today when N mentioned her new Chanel Jumbo purchase (eyes light up again), and asked when I was going to get myself one (yes, many have it too but you can’t deny how classy it’d remain), I couldn’t help but pass the word to the husband that perhaps its time we join the queue (which we were put off by at the temporary boutique at Ngee Ann City) to check the range out. I don’t know what sort of an answer was “sis is going to Paris soon anyway” … but I reckon it didn’t sound as negative as anticipated.
P/s: don’t you just adore the red Reed Krakoff too? Noticed it in the net-a-porter mailer earlier today. :)))

my colour of choice!

Hope the long weekend was kind to you!
