Bali High
Bali was a great place to kick off the start of my sabbatical.
From the start of the trip right till the end, the husband & I enjoyed every bit of the trip. We ate & drank so much that we would always end the night feeling a little oozy. Don’t think I’ve packed that much alcohol in my body within a week before!
The dinner venues & meals were EXCEPTIONAL. We had the BEST Cripsy (dirty) duck Bali had to offer, BEST sauteed scallop drizzled with lemon and slice chilli Seminyak had to offer, BEST western food & chill-out at Ku De Ta, a dose of adventure through White Water Rafting despite the downpour in the morning. BEST accommodation (yet) at Sentosa Villas – the pool, the spacious rooms & individual bathtubs coupled with the plush-chic decor, and BEST value purchasing a painting for the house. I can’t say enough how amazing the experience was – got closer to nature that I would usually allow, and totally embraced it (we got to witness many baby leather-back turtles being released into the sea!!!)
On a personal level, I also found myself to be a lot more calm & appreciating the simple things in life. Connected with the husband a lot too – with work out of our sight & minds – which I reckon is always a good thing for any relationship.
It was definitely one trip worth achieving some sense of serenity & joy amidst our hectic schedules!

Hello! and welcome to my personal blog - where I document the little quirks in my daily affairs that make it memorable - on the things we do, places we explore, stuff that inspires, bits of the pregnancy, and first experiences at parenthood.
