black friday
Being the avid online shopper that I am, I’m a sucker for all sorts of online sales, especially when discounts start from 50% and beyond such as the Black Friday & Cyber Monday events.
And now with baby chungkin on the way (whee! and we know which camp we belong to), these online sales are an absolutely attraction with too-cute-to-resist clothes at too-good-to-resist prices. Good to know that quality, comfort & style are also not compromised at affordable prices…considering how quickly bubs & tots grow out of ‘em clothes!
So far, I’m absolutely pleased with what Carter’s, OshKosh and Pumpkin Patch have to offer – which should all arrive just before I embark on ‘nesting’ in Feb. :) Now…onto books, toys and maybe SSCs….mmm

My godson is a big boy
Eye candy of my little cutie of a godson that came in the mail last week…

…which makes me wonder how baby chungkin will look like (definitely none of ‘em luscious golden curls and german heritage) now that we know baby’s a boy!
p/s: the only niece in the Bo’s side of the family has expressed a wee bit of disappointment upon knowing that baby chungkin #1 is a boy, and that she will still remain the only girl for the time being till there’s another baby in the making. :x Amazing how expressive kids are these days!

It’s almost end of the week, already?
Thank you everyone (post Elphie’s virtual baby shower) for stopping by and sending your love & wonderful wishes this way too. It’s been so amazing – to ‘meet’ & connect with a like-minded community from around the globe. And also to Elphie for that beautiful gesture of a shout-out. Another reason why you rock!
My first week back at doing pretty much nothing (aka. not working) has been flying by quickly & eventful – thanks to a Diwali public holiday which happened mid this week, lots of appointments/catching up in between and the husband taking tomorrow (Friday) off to spend some quality couple time before we meet some friends for pre-dinner drinks to welcome the weekend (can’t believe this will also be the last weekend of Oct’11! – where has the year gone to already?).
We also met up with our designer few days ago to explore 1st cut proposals of project make-room-for-baby-chungkin and realized how practical we’ve become when we rejected the idea of having a low lying bed on a low lying platform section without any hesitation. Any big, delicate showpieces also went out of the window regardless how pretty the sketches looked.
On Saturday, we have the possibility of finding out if baby chungkin is growing a penis or not (fingers crossed that baby chungkin doesn’t get all cheeky and starts bending knees again) and that news alone has been exciting for quite a few people with most placing their bets on camp blue. Mm…hopefully we’ll have some updates then!
Ending it off with some snaps over the week and a 17 weeks+ belly. x

The Glow
I’ve been a huge fan of The Coveteur & The Selby for a while now, always delighting me with a tease & glimpse into some of the world’s most coveted homes & closets (I so wish to own one someday!).
So when I chanced upon The Glow recently (thanks to blog links on my reader list), I was too excited and in awe that it featured wonderfully photographed moments of fashionable & stylish moms (coupled with fascinating & fab snippets of their little tricks of the trade or their thoughts of the moment). I’ve always wanted to be a stylish mom when the time comes (or at least an inspiring one to my future bubs) – and hopefully this will encourage me in some little way or another :) …or at least motivate me that its possible to still have lots of fun on days when I’m all weary from feeding, cleaning & crying :x
Loving these lovely moments that are being beautifully documented. Can’t you just see the glow on the moms’ faces (pun intended)?

Gorgeous Painter Jemima Kirke & her bub, Rafaella enjoying moments together – bliss!

Designer Consultant Laura Garcia getting a lovely kiss.

Lovely inspiration for future bub’s room
Absolutely loving & secreting coveting designer Lynn’s apartment & Marc Jacobs dress.
And absolutely fantastic preggy advice from Meredith on beauty…
“Use your natural glow to your advantage and reduce the amount of make-up you wear while pregnant. The most radiant you will ever be is during pregnancy so don’t waste your time covering it with make-up. When you become a mommy, make-up becomes last on your list; the quick application of foundation and under eye concealer is key. Then, all you need is basic blush, lip moisturizer, and mascara.”
I’ve always had a soft spot for all things moms and bubs, so this will definitely be on my blog radar for a long time to come. :)

Siesta & life’s joys

OH! And I finally watched The Wedding Singer for the first time this evening! Hooray!
Pics as promised

Its unbelievable how 2 weeks have just passed with this little resident around. These days I’m up early, awake by his little cries and by evening I’m all exhausted from playing with him even if its within a confined play area.
Cutie Pie

Its 2 1/2 weeks before my godson lands back in Singapore again. I miss him so much already.
I hear he can managed 2-3 steps on his own now, he can hold a phone conversation with his babbling (at least not dropping the phone and leaning his ear towards the phone), he’s grown quite a bit and all.
I chanced this little cutie of a daughter at the lil bee today and just went wow. I love everything about the photo – her inquisitiveness, that little smile, the round eyes, that cute hair, the awesome tshirt, her boots and that pose – and decided that I needed to share.
Happy Tuesday everyone, I’m off to a really busy eating & coffee day.

I’m Back

I know. The past 3 weeks has been very baby-fied as you would have witness my FaceBook account & the blog.
The little one & his mom flew out this morning, so suffice to say that I’m finally back, to discovering more about myself and hopefully coming out of my shell to start blogging about topics that I’m more passionate / knowledgable about.
P/s: I did suffer from a little separation anxiety from my godson this morning, which also startled me to wake up at 6am this morning upon hearing his cry despite only getting to sleep at 2.15am last night (I blame Tony Leung and Michelle Reis which had my heart racing for a solid 2 hours).
