Instead of badgering your attention on another pregnancy-related post I thought I’d go down memory lane today and re-post an entry which made me laugh at how much has changed since 5 years ago on my old blog. It’s a meme which my cousin who used to blog once-upon-a-time during her school days in Perth (so that we could keep in touch since Facebook wasn’t even invented then) nagged & tagged me on.

it yoyos from 50 – 55kg, depending on festive season. Yes, its THAT frightening // Obviously for pregnancy reasons, I’m now at 59kg which the doc says is healthy weight gain btw, and I’m not too concerned about weight now that that we are finally having a baby!

Both!!! That’s the spirit // I’m doing something entirely different now and I’m kinda liking it.

9 Average hours you sleep in a day?
used to be 7 – 8hrs, now its been reduced to 5 – 6hrs // back to 7-8hrs

10 Time you go bed?
about 12 during weekdays and 4 during weekends (depending on how fast everyone eats) // 1am because my husband is a tv addict and I do my best to accompany him as part of quality couple time

short-sighted

English, Mandarin and a bit of Jap // English, Mandarin &  bits of cantonese thanks to the family I married into.

experiences. so far I’ve got a list of bad ones // friends, maps to places I’ve travelled, nice-looking paperbags for reasons I don’t know why, home & decor magazines (which my BR recently made me dispose of), watches, cameras, accessories, beauty samples (cosmetics inclusive).

a sucky moto v3i //  iPhone 4

18 What is on your shopping list?
tonnes. ibook/O2 mini/another coach bag for school/air tickets to somewhere/estee lauder collection/shoes!/jeans/tees/hair treatment…is that too many? // wow. It consists mostly baby items for the little one though I really won’t mind another pair of comfy flats, another gorgeous bag and another compact semi-pro camera to capture baby moments instead of lugging around my (still very much loved) dslr.

hollister / a&f – i love their cotton // I got to go with uniqlo, stylemint, GAP. Affordable & easy to match.

skinny or straight // skinny :)

mmm…s&b, tribeca, woods&woods, gstar // still s&b (although I can’t really get my hands on them locally), Marc by Marc Jacobs for its quirkiness, Phobe Philo for Celine, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez for Proenza Schouler, Stefano Pilati (YSL)

don’t have one – yet // still don’t have one. I still buy whatever suits my style, budget and comfort.

celine, chloe, coach, tods // Celine, Chanel, Pronenza Schouler, Mulberry, Bottega Veneta,Reed Krakoff, YSL &  Hermes when budget permits in the future. That said, baby expenses will still come first :)

Black // Still mostly black, although I try to pair brighter colours with denims now

Aldo pump heels from seattle fos // kate spade flats (aka. pregnancy shoes) from the husband and naturalizer sandals

Redken all soft // Dr Organics and Avalon does a really good job for me these days

anything that smells nice // Bliss body scrub along with Olive Oil shower gel and J&J milk bath

tonnes. I’m a makeup junkie // still enjoy using a variety of brands – benefit, urban decay, estee lauder, burt’s

anything chocolatey. The patissier has got quite a gd range / Anything that is chocolately with a biscuit crust at the bottom without being too rich, or anything mango and light tasting vanilla. Rive Gauche does quite a decent job.

Shang’s The Line // Nothing beats the Shabu Shabu & Soba fare we had in Tokyo a year ago…

Don’t get me started… // The Canteen. Food was undercooked, service was bad, no apologies even after giving feedback to the cashier.

Im hoping it to be The Bible // None at the moment as I’m still catching up on my stack of pregnancy & parenthood books. But the last few non-preggy books I enjoyed were: Bringing Home the Birkin, Supernatural Childbirth (which motivated me when I was feeling very down during our trying stage) & God’s plan for pregnancy

my future // baby chungkin and the unpredictability of my thal. condition. But the Lord has been with us and I believe he will continue to be.
