prayer for a friend

Yesterday morning, I received news from 2 colleagues about X’s mom passing on. I was at a loss for words because the news came on so suddenly. And those of us who were closed to her hadn’t heard anything about her mom being ill recently.

We went to visit X during lunch today and was comforted that she seemed to be coping okay. My heart went out to her when I heard how young her mom was (59). But I was soon comforted knowing that being the strong spirited girl that she was, everything was going to be okay for her. She had God in her heart too.

I pray that X’s heart recovers slowly and surely with God’s love and grace.
